Jan Peerce was a Jewish American icon. Peerce, who grew up in New York City’s lower east side, began singing in his synagogue’s choir. His vocal prowess enabled him to progress from a local Chazan to the world stage of The Metropolitan Opera, Broadway and television. Featured in this film is rare footage of Peerce being interviewed by another musical legend, Isaac Stern.
