Jan Peerce was a Jewish American icon. Peerce, who grew up in New York City’s lower east side, began singing in his synagogue’s choir. His vocal prowess enabled him to progress from a local Chazan to the world stage of The Metropolitan Opera, Broadway and television. Featured in this film is rare footage of Peerce being interviewed by another musical legend, Isaac Stern.

Shown with: THE CANTOR’S SON
Both films hosted by: Cantor Zachary Mondrow, Temple Torah of West Boynton Beach, FL

Double feature showing at:
Movies at Delray, Tuesday, Dec. 13, 10:30 am
