Israel, 2010 / Hebrew and Arabic with English subtitles / 54 minutes
A group of Israeli’s goes to the Palestinian town of Susia to help their neighbors harness the only natural resource they have: wind and solar energy. Working together through action not protest, this is a very personal tale of a small impoverished group of people who gain a small foothold in the modern world by constructing wind turbines to create electricity. The film showcases deeply felt interpersonal relationships as local residents evaluate which family gets powered up first, and whose needs are the greatest. The Israelis who expected a short project grow increasingly excited as the first refrigerator is finally plugged in, which allows the villager’s dairy business to succeed.
