This first documentary about Bolivian
Jews provides a fascinating look at the rise and decline
of the Jewish community in Cocachamba where the Jewish
population is down from 2,000 to fewer than 100. With
Jewish youth leaving reluctantly, and a lack of community
organization, the film is both an intimate portrait of
a community at risk of extinction, and a quest to create
a contemporary Jewish identity.
