Three sisters in their twenties and from a
religious family gather at their widowed mother’s
house for Shabbat. The eldest is a non-religious
single, radiobroadcaster; the second is a religious
middle-class woman in her ninth month of pregnancy;
and the youngest daughter married to a religious
student is having trouble getting pregnant. Over the
intense weekend, old wounds are opened and each
woman faces her own womanhood and motherhood.
