A richly textured retelling of several mysterious love stories from survivors of the Holocaust. Using a variety of film forms, intimate interviews with survivors, documentary archival footage, excerpts of fiction film (both from Hollywood and the Yiddish cinema), and dramatic reenactment, the documentary unfolds like a collection of love stories. Director Helene Klodawsky is the daughter of death camp survivors. In this personal, point-of-view film, she explores the healing power of love which arose from the destruction of war.
